For Sale for Euro 3,500.oo is my Obsession 12.5 inch Dobson Mounted Newtonian reflector.
The learning curve for this system should be considered with telescope set up, collimation and DSC use so is not a good choice for a novice but will reward a more experienced visual observer who has access to a dark sky site, with outstanding views.
I purchased the telescope in 2004 and specified the following options : JMI focuser, Shroud and Telerad finder, Argo Navis DSC (encoders, cables and handset) and I asked that it be balanced for TV Nagler 20mm type 2 eyepiece.
Over the years I replaced the secondary holder with a Telekit 4 bolt holder making it easier to climate
and it holds collimation much better than the original 3 bolt secondary holder. Later when it became available I installed a Howie Glatter Wire Sling making the mirror easier to center in the mirror box.
After around 5 years use the mirror coating started to flake off. I selected Orion UK to recoat the mirror. They tested the mirror and reported that it was ok but could be refigured to Ultra Grade and then Hilux coated, over the last 15 years the mirror coating has stayed perfect and the views are excellent.
Finally I added a Stalk to hold the Argo Navis handset.
Overall the telescope has lasted very well, the woodwork shows no warping or splitting the dovetail joints are still tight the varnish hasn't faded or worn off.
The mirror cooling fan is standard, additional items include in the price are: all three TV Nagler type 2 eyepieces (20mm, 16mm and 12mm), Howie Glatter 2 inch collimator with Blug and 2 alternate reticule's, a boxed set of Catseye Collimation Tools, mirror has the Catseye Hot Spot for ease of collimation.
Pickup from Vranic, 45 km from Belgrade, I can't deliver as I don't drive.
Reason for the sale is, I'm into my seventies and the effort to use the scope is too much for me.

Bravo Aleksa, i bravo i za brata 🙂 Ako ste bez svog teleskopa, prakticno iz prvog trazenja, nasli ovoliko objekata, onda sledece godine ocekujemo pobedu 🙂
Zelim Vam da istrajete u ovom hobiju, bice tu i razocaranja i nerviranja, al najlakse je odustati. Nema odustajanja 🙂 Poceli ste bas na vreme, ako budete vredno radili, mozete bas daleko stici u ovoj oblasti.
Divno je bilo videti vas na takmicenju, vi ste jedan od najpozitivnijih utisaka te veceri. Veliki pozdrav 🙂

Astrofotografija / Odg: Komete, asteroidi, meteor...
Poslednja poruka Yagodinac - juče u 04:45:26 POSLE PODNEKometa 29P/Schwassmann-Wachmann je skoro uvek vidljiva i kad ne znate koju kometu da snimate eto nje. Trenutno je blizu opozicije; gore je NGC3521 u Lavu.
20x2min, ISO1600, 7D, 70-200 f2.8 na f4.0, kropovano sa 200mm.

Astronomija / Izvestaj od mesierovog maraton...
Poslednja poruka Aleksa Vitorovic - juče u 01:23:11 POSLE PODNEJa sam se takmičo u grupi 6 (Simba i Milka)😂sa mojim bratom.
Pronašli smo 27 objekta.
Bilo je bas lepo , ostali smo od 8 sati do 4 sati , lepo je bilo druženje i gledanje kroz druge teleskope.
Dobili smo 4 mesto šta za prvi put korišćenja normalnog teleskopa nije loše.
(Isto nismo doneli naš teleskop neko je dao njegov)
Voleo bi da se zahvalim Nemanji što nam je malo pomogao (NIJE TRAŽIO ZA NAS POKAZAO NAM JE SAMO ŠTA I KAKO DA TRAŽIMO)
Isto stigao sam da slikam mlečni put ali ga je bg uništio.(nmg da podelim mnogo je velika slika)
Jedva čekam kamp.
Pronašli smo 27 objekta.
