Poslednja poruka Polare - Maj 20, 2026, 09:29:22 POSLE PODNE...nalazimo se u Mliječnoj stazi, s brojnim Barnardovim tamnim maglicama, golemim međuzvjezdanim oblacima hladnog plina i kozmičke prašine toliko gustima da potpuno blokiraju svjetlost zvijezda ili sjajnih maglica iza njih.
U središtu slike je Barnard 68, jedna od najgušćih i najizoliranijih poznatih tamnih maglica, smještena u blizini Zmijske maglice.

I have for sale a set of 2 inch ( 50mm) Catseye Collimation tools I used for Day Time collimation.
Set can be used to collimate f3.5 to f6.0 'scopes.
Comprising centre spotting template and centre triangle spot with spotting instructions, the tools are an adjustable (f3.5 to f6.0 ) Telecat XL, this is a sight tube allowing for precise secondary mirror positioning and rotation. The BlackCat allows for precise primary mirror adjustment. The autocollimator is used to fine tune the tilt & rotation of the secondary with respect to the primary and focus tube after going through the Telecat and Black cat collimation routine.
Using the Telecat XL and Blackcat are intuitive easy to use and mastered quickly, the autocollimator however is an absolute pain to get spot on but worth it for precise.
There are online tutorials available that explain this better than I can.
The tools, wooden box and cardboard tube with spotting template, template instructions and a spare triange altogether for € 150.
Inspection welcome. Pickup from Vranic, 45 km from Belgrade, I can't deliver as I don't drive..
Reason for the sale is, I'm into my seventies and I'm downsizing to what I actually use.

I have for sale a set of Howie Glatter collimation tools comprising:
HG Laser 2inch ( 50mm ) barrel, Standard Brightness, 650nm ( red ) laser, with BLUG, and 3 Holographic Reticles, Aquare Grid, Crosshair & Circle and Barlow attachment. All three areticules thread into the laser body. The laser has the on / off brightness option and were shipped in square plastic boxes.
If you want to collimate your Newtonian scope at night this is the way to do it. Superb construction and quality control from Howie Glatter.
Howie died in 2017 and his business was continued by Starlight Instruments ( maker of FeatherTouch Focuser ) I believe Starlight Instruments use a different thread size for the Holographic attachments so would not be interchangeable.

For Sale I have a BelOptic, 3 in 1, Laminated IRcut – Pol – ND Filter 1.25inch ( 31mm )
This filter has a single use only, it is intended to be used on an eyepiece that's inserted into a Herschel Prism for safe solar viewing. The purpose is to combine in a single filter assembly what solar photosphere visual observers would otherwise require three separate stacked filters to achieve:- an IR Cut filter for safety plus a Polariser for brightness control plus a Neutral Density to bring the overall brightness to within comfortable levels. It was a product of Oliver Smie the optical designer and owner of BelOptic.
I checked with Oliver Smie and he advised me that it is no longer in production.
Many years ago, perhaps fifteen or so I purchased this filter and used it in my Herschel prism, I was completely satisfied with it, and it was a far better solution than stacking an IR cut filter then a polarizing filter and a finally a Neutral Density filter. After a couple of years I discovered IDAS ND 5.2 solar filters and stopped using my Herschel Prism and the IRcut-Pol-ND filter saw no use at all.
150 Euros plus postage or inspection and collection from Vranic.

I have for sale an IDAS UHB-RS 52mm ( front mounting ) Solar Filter.
Optical Density is rated as ND5.2 ( 1/160,000), it provides a neutral balance ( no color shift ) viewing.
This filter so impressed me that I bought the larger 82mm and for the last 10 or 11 years have used it as my white light photosphere filter and sold my 2 inch Herschel Prism.
This front mount filter threads directly onto the objective lens of my Borg 50mm Achromat scope.
I've checked the various web pages AstroHutech, Ted Astro and TANI where IDAS filters are listed and these UHB-RS are not listed, so maybe they are no longer available.
Euro 125 plus postage, or inspect and pick up from Vranic.
If you are interested in the Borg 50mm I could be persuaded to part with it.
